Turning Stone Resort & Casino
Weddings, golf, WSOP poker, and an abundance of casino games are all good reasons to put Turning Stone Resort & Casino on your list. This casino resort has it all, and the location isn’t anything to ignore.
Situated just a few minutes south of Exit 33 on the I-90, New York’s popular resort casino is in the heart of Verona. It’s about three miles from Oneida Castle and eight miles from the International Boxing Hall of Fame. The Casino
With 2,000 slot machines, 66 table games, 3 Bingo halls, and New York’s largest Poker room, there’s a lot to do here. There’s so much, you really wouldn’t have to visit the other area casino because it’s unlikely you’ll run out of things to do.
The casino won Strictly Slot Magazine’s “Best of Slots 2023” award and won awards in 23 other categories including Best Bingo, Best Keno, and Best Progressive Slots. It’s packed with penny slots, but if you’re a little more adventurous, there’s also an ample number of games in the High-End slot area. There’s even the Casino Blu for smokers. Some of the casino’s most popular slots are:
Aladdin’s Fortune 3D
Jackpot Catcher
Regal Riches
Spitfire Triple Double Diamond
Several smaller non-alcoholic casino rooms are available throughout the area. You don’t have to stay at the casino to enjoy slots at any of the six PlayOn Slot Parlor locations. They’re all open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout Canastota, Oneida, and Verona.
Oneida Indian Nation High Stakes Bingo opens its doors at 9 a.m. each day and again at 4 p.m. for Bingo card sales. Prizes available at the time of this review range from $299 to $169,198. Bingo games take place at:
Early Birds – 10:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Super Minis – 11:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Warm-Ups – 12:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
Main Games – 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The Poker Room follows a monthly schedule that is subject to change. Progressive Cash games take place on Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. High Hand Giveaways are hourly games on Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
As the Poker Room often hosts professional Poker tournaments like the WSOP, schedules do fluctuate, so it’s important to check the current schedule from Turning Stone’s website.
Finally, Keno games run from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. each day. Winning numbers are drawn every five months. Keno starts at $2 for four games.
